Normally, my projects at the shop are cars, trucks, boats, maybe an occasional tractor... I was given an old travel trailer about 3 years ago, with the intention of putting it on the roof of my storage containers for an office. Long story short, it was leaky and pretty wood damaged, and frankly not worth my time to repair... I have a car trailer but it is really only good for vehicles. Household moving is no fun on a trailer with no sides... My dad and I got the bright idea to peal the sides off and keep the frame, and build a utility trailer... In true MOHR fashion, we cant just cut it apart.... I came up with the idea to slice it length wise and pull it apart with my truck....
And now, a couple of hours of clean up....
Well , anyway, I finally was able to make something out of that mess.... Not my usual line of work but it should work out well for a utility trailer.... My extended plan is to panel between the horizontal beams with old metal roll up garage doors....
dirty from the shop, but you get the idea.... |
