WCK Los Banos

For those unaware, West Coast Kustoms used to do a show in Los Banos, Ca.  It was kind of the "low key" show to Paso Robles.  At any rate, I always really enjoyed the show.  They allowed tent camping at the fairgrounds and with that, you were always in the hot spot.  I was quite a bit younger then, and my body probably would not take a tent in the fairgrounds any longer.  There would be a group of about 10 or 20 of us, all hanging out together..  Some of those days, I would love to go back to..

Vacation..

After a long work week, I am on vacation.  I have a ton of things at the shop to do, but would rather send it relaxing like this...

Too many projects......

Spied this kool little BBq at the Grand National Roadster Show this year.  The idea is pretty simple in this case. 

I have had this thing in my stash of stuff for a while.  My plan for this was for something similar in fashion, although my ideas were a little more advanced.  Rather than going wood burning, I was going to use propane.  The propane would hopefully keep the heat down somewhat, so that I could do some crazy paint work on it, and not melt the clear on the sides.  The trunk is still useable as is, but I would split the front section up into half BBQ and the other half....  ???  This is where it stopped...

No doubt you have not heard my ramblings about Eagle Field and the great drag racing.  There is a little more out there than just what is on the flyer.  This whole place is like a time capsule with various items strewn around the compound to look at.  There are several signs in some places that warn "No Trespassing".  I will not admit to taking these photos, nor where I got them, or even whether I was there, at the time.  Those that may or may not be my alibis, remember.... Snitches get Stitches...

Kool T-Bird

Spied this kool T-bird at the GNRS this year.  Ordinarally, I despise not running a Y-block in a Ford of this vintage.  This, my friends is the exception..
